Engine, Truck, Tanker on First Due Fire

 January 12, 2012

pCompanies 1 and 4 were alerted for a structure fire. Dispatch advised a mattress on fire inside a residence and all occupants have been evacuated. Engine 15 Taylor layed a line from the intersection of Wakefield and Monticello. Engine 15 AOS and found 1 story single family dwelling smoke pushing from the eves. Engine 15s officer made a quick walk around and ventilated the bedroom windows on side charlie. Engine 15s crews made an aggressive interiornbspattack and encounted heavy fire in the bedroom. Crews made a quick knockdown and confined the fire to the room of orgin. Tanker 1 Sanford supplied E-15 and sent crews to search for extension. Truck 1 was used for ventilation and SampO. Tanker 2 was added for manpower. Command was transferred to Chief 1 Robey. Crews searched for extension with none found. Crews used PPV to ventilate the residence. Command placed all units in service and turned the scene over to the Red Cross. Command terminated.p
